Ce que le Maryland exige

Maryland regulation COMAR 13A.16.10.02, administered by the State Department of Education's Office of Child Care, requires at least one child care teacher or the director certified in first aid and CPR to be present at all times. Centers licensed for more than 20 children must keep at least one certified staff member for every 20 children present.

Anaphylaxie et administration de médicaments

Under COMAR 13A.16.11.04, medication may be given only by an employee who has completed approved medication-administration training (or a nurse or Board-certified medication technician), with signed parental authorization and storage children cannot reach. Maryland separately certifies child care staff to administer epinephrine through the state's Emergency Use Auto-Injectable Epinephrine Program, so a trained adult can respond to anaphylaxis on the spot.
